Overview

About Coors Field

Coors Field in downtown Denver has been home to the Colorado Rockies since 1995 and seats 46,891, or 50,144 with standing room. The Coors Field seat map has a Field Level of box seats (sections 105 to 150) with the Pavilion (151 to 160) and the Rockpile bleachers (401 to 403) in the outfield, a 200 Level with the Right Field Mezzanine (201 to 209) and the Club Level (214 to 247), and a 300 Level upper deck (301 to 347), topped in right field by The Rooftop. The best seats are the Infield Box sections behind home plate and the dugouts (about 120 to 141), with the Rockies dugout on the first-base side. The Club Level infield is the best-value premium view, and the Rockpile in centre field is famously the cheapest ticket in the ballpark. Look out for the row of purple seats in the upper deck, exactly one mile above sea level.

Opened on 26 April 1995, Coors Field is a brick and steel ballpark in LoDo, and the highest in Major League Baseball. Most seats are green, but a row in the upper deck is painted purple because it sits exactly one mile (5,280 feet) above sea level. The Rooftop, a 46,000 square foot standing deck built in 2014, replaced about 3,500 upper right-field seats, and the SandLot brewery behind right field is where Blue Moon was first brewed.

Sections

Seating levels explained

Infield Box120-141

The lower bowl from the first-base dugout round behind home plate to the third-base dugout. The Toyota Clubhouse sits directly behind home plate.

Pros: The closest views of pitcher, batter and both dugouts.

Cons: The most expensive regular seats; the first rows sit behind the protective netting.

Midfield, Outfield and Corner Outfield Box110-119, 142-150

Field Level seats from the infield corners out to the foul poles: Midfield Box (118 to 119 and 142 to 143), Outfield Box (116 to 117 and 144 to 145) and Corner Outfield Box (110 to 115 and 146 to 150).

Pros: Close to the field for less than the infield; good for foul balls and bullpen watching.

Cons: You look back towards home plate at an angle.

Right Field Box, Pavilion and the Rockpile105-109, 151-160, 401-403

Right Field Box seats (105 to 109) by the right-field wall, the Pavilion (151 to 160) across left and left-centre field below the main scoreboard, and the Rockpile bleachers (401 to 403) in straightaway centre field.

Pros: Home run territory and the cheapest tickets in the ballpark, especially the Rockpile.

Cons: The Rockpile's last seats are about 600 feet from home plate.

Club Level and Right Field Mezzanine201-209, 214-247

The Club Level runs round the infield (221 to 227 and 234 to 241) and out towards the outfield (214 to 219 and 242 to 247) on a short tier of about ten rows. The Right Field Mezzanine (201 to 209) overlooks the right-field wall and bullpens.

Pros: A raised, close view of the whole field; Club Level seats have their own concourse.

Cons: Club Level tickets cost more than the upper deck; the Mezzanine looks back at home plate from the outfield.

Upper deck (300 Level)301-347

The top tier from right field round to left field: Lower Rooftop Reserved in right field (301 to 309 and 311 to 313), Reserved Outfield towards the foul poles (310 to 319 and 342 to 347) and Reserved Infield round home plate (321 to 340), where Lower Reserved and Upper Reserved blocks share the same section numbers. The Rooftop standing deck sits above right field.

Pros: Affordable seats with views of the Rocky Mountains to the west; the purple mile-high row is up here.

Cons: The furthest seats from the field, and the outfield ends look back at home plate at a sharp angle.

Seat views

Coors Field view from your seat

Infield Box behind home plate

127 to 133 (Toyota Clubhouse directly behind home plate)

The classic view straight down to the pitcher's mound, through the protective netting in the lower rows.

Tip: The higher rows give a slightly raised view over the netting for a similar price.

Infield Box, Rockies dugout side

120 to 126 (first-base side, Rockies dugout by about 123 to 125)

Low seats along the first-base line, beside and behind the Rockies dugout.

Tip: Home fans usually pick this side to watch the Rockies come and go.

Infield Box, visitors' side

134 to 141 (third-base side, visitors' dugout by about 136 to 139)

The mirror of the Rockies side, beside the visitors' dugout and looking across the diamond at the Rockies bench.

Tip: From the third-base side you look out towards right field and the Rooftop.

Field Level down the lines

110 to 119 and 142 to 150

Midfield, Outfield and Corner Outfield Box seats between the infield and the foul poles, angled back towards home plate.

Tip: Midfield Box (118 to 119 and 142 to 143) keeps the angle shallow at a lower price than the Infield Box.

Outfield: Pavilion and the Rockpile

151 to 160 (Pavilion) and 401 to 403 (Rockpile)

Seats beyond the left and centre field walls. The Rockpile in straightaway centre field is the furthest from home plate, with its last seats about 600 feet away.

Tip: The Rockpile is the cheapest ticket in the ballpark and has its own ticket window.

Club Level

214 to 227 and 234 to 247

A short tier of about ten rows just above the Field Level, with a close, raised view of the whole diamond.

Tip: The infield sections (221 to 227 and 234 to 241) give the best balance of height and closeness.

Upper deck infield

321 to 340 (Lower and Upper Reserved Infield)

A high view of the whole field with the Rocky Mountains on the horizon beyond the outfield. The purple mile-high row runs through the upper deck.

Tip: Lower Reserved blocks sit in front of the Upper Reserved blocks with the same section numbers, so check the price level on your ticket.

Right field upper deck and The Rooftop

301 to 313 and The Rooftop

Lower Rooftop Reserved seats in right field below The Rooftop, a large standing deck with bars that is open to every ticket holder.

Tip: Rooftop standing room tickets are sold separately and include food or merchandise credit; some games open seating in U310 to 314.

Seat numbers

How Coors Field seat numbers work

Coors Field tickets show a section, row and seat. The first digit of the section tells you the level: 100s are the Field Level and Pavilion, 200s the Right Field Mezzanine and Club Level, 300s the upper deck, and 401 to 403 the Rockpile in centre field. On each level the numbers run from right field round behind home plate to left field: on the Field Level, 105 to 109 are by the right-field wall, 120 to 126 are on the first-base side, 127 to 133 are round home plate, 134 to 141 are on the third-base side and 142 to 150 run out to the left-field pole, with the Pavilion (151 to 160) across left and centre field. In the upper deck, the Lower Reserved and Upper Reserved infield blocks share the same section numbers either side of the cross aisle, so check the price level printed on your ticket. Rows are mostly numbered from the front of each section.

Reading a ticket: Section 143, Row 15: Field Level Midfield Box on the third-base side, between the infield and left field, 15 rows back from the field.

Concerts

Coors Field floor plan for concerts

Concert layouts vary by tour, so always check the seat map for your show. The stage usually goes in the outfield, with field seating laid out across the playing surface and the lower and upper bowls round the infield facing it.

The floor: The field is sold as reserved field sections or general admission, depending on the show.

The stage: Usually in centre field, in front of the Pavilion (151 to 160) and the Rockpile.

The sections behind home plate (127 to 133 and the upper deck round 321 to 340) face a centre field stage head on. The outfield seats behind the stage are usually not sold.
