Where to watch the Belgian Grand Prix

For the full Grand Prix experience at the Belgian Grand Prix, the pick is Main Grandstand — The grid, pit stops and podium, plus the run down to La Source at the start. For on-track action, head to La Source Grandstands. The budget option is General Admission (From €225 (3-day, 2027)). The Belgian Grand Prix runs 23–25 July 2027 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Stavelot — Round 12 of the 2027 Formula 1 season.

Overview

About the Belgian Grand Prix

The drivers’ favourite. Spa-Francorchamps in the Ardennes forest is the longest circuit on the 2027 calendar at 7.004 km, home to Eau Rouge and Raidillon — and one of the few tracks where general admission is a genuinely brilliant way to watch Formula 1.

Spa is a rollercoaster through the trees: the La Source hairpin, the flat-out climb through Eau Rouge–Raidillon, the Kemmel Straight, and the high-speed run through Pouhon and Blanchimont. The lap is so long that weather can differ from one end to the other, which has produced some of F1’s most chaotic races. Overtaking concentrates at Les Combes at the top of the hill.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps viewing areas compared

Spa is long, hilly and exposed. Pick a viewing zone before buying parking or a shuttle, because the walk from a different side of the circuit can be substantial.

La Source / Gold 7

The hairpin after the start and the downhill run toward Eau Rouge.

Consider: A high-demand reserved seat; verify the block and roof on the current map.

Kemmel / Les Combes

End of the long climb and a major braking and overtaking section.

Consider: Far from the pit buildings and some return shuttle points.

Bronze general admission

Roving access to designated banks across this forest circuit.

Consider: Expect steep, muddy paths and competition for the most popular sightlines.

Belgian Grand Prix hospitality options

Spa Grand Prix offers Gold stands, Mezzanine, Loges and Paddock Club as different purchases. Compare the fixed track view and entrance with catering and any dedicated shuttle.

Mezzanine or Loge

Promoter VIP spaces with catered viewing and dedicated arrival arrangements.

Consider: Check the specific terrace, stand entitlement and VIP parking or shuttle in the 2027 package.

Paddock Club

The circuit’s F1 pit-building hospitality product.

Consider: Do not infer unrestricted paddock access; check the included sessions and suite.

Getting to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and back

The official programme lists rail to Verviers-Central with an event shuttle, City Shuttles from various cities, and car parks by colour. Some promoter FAQ date lines conflict with the published 23–25 July 2027 calendar: verify booking dates.

Train plus Verviers shuttle

Rail to Verviers-Central, then the dedicated circuit transfer.

Consider: A separate shuttle ticket and the last return need checking for the correct 2027 dates.

City Shuttle

The organiser lists direct services from Belgian and nearby cross-border cities.

Consider: A ticket is for a specified day and city; do not reuse a timetable with inconsistent dates.

Drive to designated parking

Select the colour area and lot closest to your ticket entrance.

Consider: Several lots need a transfer; follow the organiser’s current directions rather than the circuit postcode.

Parking at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the Belgian Grand Prix

The organiser sells colour-coded parking separately, including remote lots with shuttles. Match the lot to your gate and book the correct days; there is no general kiss-and-ride area in its 2027 FAQ.

Hotels near Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: where to stay for the Belgian Grand Prix

A close campsite trades comfort for the short trip; a city hotel needs a tested return journey.

Francorchamps / Stavelot

Closest to certain gates and fan areas.

Consider: Small room supply and steep walks; check the actual entrance.

Spa / Malmedy campsite

Official camping zones and event atmosphere.

Consider: Buy admission separately and check campsite facilities and gate distance.

Verviers or Liège

More hotel choice and rail connections.

Consider: Add a specific event shuttle or parking plan; ordinary buses may divert on race Sunday.

What will a Belgian Grand Prix weekend cost?

Price the whole transfer and site access. A lower Bronze ticket can lose its saving to a distant hotel and repeated private transfers.

  • Ticket: compare Bronze with the precise Gold grandstand and roof.
  • Stay: search 22–26 July 2027 for four nights in Spa, Verviers and Liège.
  • Transport: add rail and event shuttle per person, or car parking by day and any transfer.
  • Food: allow for circuit meals and a late meal at the return town.

Supplier prices and event transport can change. Any previous-season figure is labelled with its year; check the final cart before paying.

Food and drink at and after the race

At the circuit

Concessions serve the fan zones and stands; check the current map and whether the selected hospitality product includes meals.

After the race

Spa and Stavelot offer smaller restaurant inventories; reserve early. If taking the Verviers or Liège return, plan dinner near the station or hotel rather than missing the final shuttle.

Practical tips and accessibility

  • Bring waterproof layers and shoes suitable for wet forest paths even in July.
  • Check which Gold stands are covered and which are exposed before paying.
  • The promoter FAQ contains stale, conflicting date text; use the F1 calendar and your current shuttle ticket for the 2027 weekend.

Visitor details reviewed 2026-09-27. Check the organiser again when the 2027 event instructions are released.

Race-weekend tips

Insider tips for the Belgian Grand Prix

  • GA at Spa is the real deal — the bank above Eau Rouge is one of the most famous spectating spots in sport. Arrive early to claim it.
  • The Ardennes make their own weather: pack waterproofs no matter what the forecast says.
  • The circuit is huge — comfortable shoes and a plan for which sections you will watch each session.
  • Friday is the day to walk the circuit and scout the banks before the weekend crowds arrive.

Logistics

Getting there & where to stay

Transport

The circuit sits in the Ardennes near Stavelot, about 50 km from Liège. Official shuttle buses run from Spa and neighbouring towns across race weekend, connecting with trains at Spa station. Driving is possible but parking is limited and the forest roads clog — arrive very early. Many fans camp in the fields around the circuit, which is part of the Spa tradition.

Where to stay

Camping is the authentic Spa choice, with campsites ringing the circuit. For beds, Liège has the deepest hotel stock 50 km away; Spa town itself and Malmedy are closer but tiny and book out far in advance. Maastricht and Aachen across the borders are realistic overflow options with a hire car.
