For on-track action, head to Corner grandstands. The budget option is Pelouse (General Admission) (Entry tier — check official portal). Overview

About the Spanish Grand Prix

Madrid’s new home for Formula 1. The Spanish Grand Prix moves to Madring — the hybrid street-and-permanent circuit around the IFEMA exhibition centre that debuted in 2026 — bringing the race to the heart of one of Europe’s great capitals, five minutes from the airport.

Madring is a 5.4 km hybrid: street-style sections threading around IFEMA’s halls and underpasses combined with purpose-built permanent stretches, including the banked “La Monumental” corner and the long high-speed run along the outer ring. The 22-corner layout mixes heavy braking zones with flowing final sectors, and the compact site means grandstands sit unusually close to the fences for a new-build circuit.

Madring viewing areas compared

MADRING divides admission into independent North and South zones. Your ticket sector determines the useful station, gate and evening exit; confirm it before booking the hotel.

South / main straight

IFEMA-side grid, pit building and start-finish action.

Consider: Use a South access route such as Feria de Madrid, not a North station.

North / Valdebebas

Northern track sections and grandstands served by Valdebebas.

Consider: You cannot walk through the venue from the South zone to a North ticket.

General admission

Lower-priced designated viewing and fan areas within the selected sector.

Consider: Check the actual 2027 GA area and whether movement is restricted within it.

Spanish Grand Prix hospitality options

The circuit offers different hospitality venues by sector. A package’s included race ticket does not always include parking or an assigned grandstand seat.

La Terminal

Turns 18–19 hospitality with food stations, activities and a dedicated grandstand.

Consider: The organiser states parking is extra and seats in this stand are first-come within the area.

Paddock Club / Club 91

Pit-building or main-straight premium areas on the South side.

Consider: Compare the actual terrace and access rights with North-side products before choosing.

Getting to Madring and back

MADRING recommends public transport and maps individual tickets to a sector and gate. The site lists Metro Line 8 for South and Cercanías Valdebebas for North.

Feria de Madrid Metro

Line 8 serves the IFEMA / South sector near the main entrance.

Consider: Only use it if the ticket’s assigned access is South; verify the walk to your gate.

Valdebebas commuter rail

Cercanías C-1 is the primary North-zone stop.

Consider: A South ticket cannot be reached by walking across the venue from North.

EMT / special shuttle

The promoter lists buses and special shuttles from selected city hubs.

Consider: Check 2027 routes, prices and the correct sector pickup before relying on them.

Parking at Madring for the Spanish Grand Prix

The circuit says there is no on-site spectator parking. It identifies a limited pre-booked remote lot at Metropolitano Stadium with a shuttle; recheck the 2027 service and North/South gate before buying.

Hotels near Madring: where to stay for the Spanish Grand Prix

Madrid’s hotel choice is broad; favour a simple rail connection to the sector printed on your ticket.

Central Madrid / Nuevos Ministerios

Restaurants and an interchange for Metro Line 8 toward Feria de Madrid.

Consider: North-zone tickets may be easier via Chamartín and Cercanías.

IFEMA / airport area

Convenient for a South-zone gate or an early flight.

Consider: Check the exact hotel-to-gate walk and evening transport.

Chamartín / Valdebebas

Useful for a North-zone rail approach.

Consider: Confirm the C-1 schedule and the chosen hotel’s station access.

What will a Spanish Grand Prix weekend cost?

Public transport can be much cheaper than a car transfer if the station fits your ticket sector. Price the hotel by the right rail line.

  • Ticket: compare your actual 2027 sector and seat or GA pass.
  • Stay: search 9–13 September 2027 for four nights on the South or North approach.
  • Transport: add airport transfer and three Metro/Cercanías return fares, or pre-booked remote parking.
  • Food: include circuit meals unless stated in a hospitality product.

Supplier prices and event transport can change. Any previous-season figure is labelled with its year; check the final cart before paying.

Food and drink at and after the race

At the circuit

The organiser’s venue map marks food, water and rest areas by sector. La Terminal’s hospitality description includes all-day food and drink, but ordinary admission does not.

After the race

Central Madrid around Gran Vía or Chamberí has broad late dining. For an IFEMA hotel, check restaurants around the property before assuming venue concessions stay open after the race.

Practical tips and accessibility

  • North and South sectors cannot be crossed through the circuit; the printed ticket rules the journey.
  • 2026 mobility arrangements establish the site layout, but recheck the 2027 gate map and transport schedule.
  • Expect September heat and exposed walks between a station and the grandstand.

Visitor details reviewed 2026-09-27. Check the organiser again when the 2027 event instructions are released.

Race-weekend tips

Insider tips for the Spanish Grand Prix

  • All tickets are 3-day passes — there are no single-day grandstand options, so plan for the full weekend.
  • Join the official waitlist at ticketsf1.madring.com; debut-year demand carried straight into 2027.
  • Metro Line 8 is the move: Feria de Madrid station is at the venue, and Madrid’s Metro runs late.
  • September in Madrid is still hot — treat daytime sessions like summer and hydrate.

Hotels for the Spanish Grand Prix

All hotels & live prices

Anywhere in Madrid works — that is the point of this race. The Metro makes the whole city viable: stay central around Sol, Gran Vía or Salamanca for the full Madrid experience, or near the airport/IFEMA for convenience. Madrid’s hotel supply is deep, but a Grand Prix plus September events season will compress the centre — book early.

Hotel details are cached for discovery. Distances are straight-line, not journey times. Check your race-weekend dates and occupancy for a live room price.

Logistics

Getting there & where to stay

Transport

This is Madring’s superpower: the circuit sits at IFEMA, five minutes from Madrid-Barajas Airport and directly on Metro Line 8 (Feria de Madrid station), which connects to the whole city network. Cercanías trains and extensive bus routes also serve IFEMA. You can land at Barajas and be at the circuit in under half an hour — unique on the F1 calendar.
